Should Victor Frankenstein have created "the monster"? Why or why not?
Since the beginning, Victor Frankenstein was the only child of his family for about 5 years, that is, until the Frankenstein family adopts Elizabeth. Elizabeth is about Victor's age so they both get along well together. Victor Frankenstein's mother dies from scarlet fever, so only Victor and Elizabeth are left of their family. Victory decides he should go and study at the University of Ingolstadt. Victor is lonely there, but he studies anatomy and decides to make a being come to life out of parts of corpses. Somehow, someway, the creature that Victor created comes to life and scares Victor, so Victor spent the night in the courtyard. Next day, he bumped into an old friend who gave him letters from Elizabeth.
There could have been many factors that had influenced Victor Frankenstein to have created "the monster." One of those reasons could have been that Victor was lonely and wanted some company. Another reason is that Victor was just curious; maybe he could have brought his dead mother back to life someday. It depends on the story, since I have only read the beginning, if Victor should have created this monster, but for now, I think he should have.

DeleteTo be more specific, this post took lots of thought, time, and effort. It makes lots of sense, connecting the dots perfectly, for people who might like to read this book. I was wide-eyed when reading this.
DeleteThe summery was straight to the point, which made it easy to understand and easy to read; unlike the clusters of words in the book. It is a really good summery of the beginning chapters.
ReplyDeleteI thought your post summarized the story we read very well and I also like the visual representation of the creature. *thumbs up*
ReplyDeleteBe careful to answer your actual question. You didn't answer your question until the last sentence and you weren't able to expand on it. If you realize that you can't write enough about a certain ?, find a different one! ;)
